Perhaps I’m being a bit dim, but for the life of me, I cannot find similar swing arm hardware similar to that pictured here.
Any thoughts? I’m on a roll and am afraid that if I flounder for long I will lose interest and retain the tired shade for another eight years or so.
Image, House Beautiful, August ’08 in all it’s simple perfection. Adore the waste can.
Coming out of lurking to suggest these similar swing arms…
Iron Art by Orion
I’ll head back into lurkdom now – but did want to mention that our summer camp out here in OP ended with book piles and many missing balls too! Love your blog – thanks!
Kate – you’re the best stalker a girl ever had. Perfect, just the thing. Come out more often! Thank you!
Kate certainly knows her resources. Well done!
I was going to suggest HOULES. I know they have this type of arm for doors, so maybe they also have smaller versions for windows.
But I think with IRON ART,you have already found it.
Your fan,
Ron/The Netherlands
Ron – thanks for the additional resource – I didn’t know Houles had hardware. Always fun to have a new resource.
you can find this hardware in pottery barn’s catalog.
Also in Country Curtains catalogue (out of Lenox, Mass), but styles may be too “cutsey” for the look you are going for.
Lowes actually sells similar swing arms. I have purchased some there before. You might want to check it out.
I think these are similar:

I've ordered swing arm rods from Restoration Hardware before (not usually a fan of telescoping/extending rod… these are great quality) and on sale to boot!
