I have to admit, as much as I love Kansas City, no one lives here for the weather. It’s been a terrific surprise that while we have had friends in town KC has put on a marvelous show. 80 degrees, sunny, no humidity. Which led to a pool outing/recovery (last night was a big one) and magazine reading today. Jeffery Bilhuber’s Long Island home is in the August issue of Vogue. If you like the rug that he uses throughout (over those deliciously black floors)

I really like using natural elements such as those mats. On top of black floors would be a favorite, minus the dust bunnies of course!

Courtney – It looks yellow on the page as well, but Hamish Bowles says it is the color is "the crisp green of a Granny Smith apple." Which sounds equally terrific.

I used that flooring in my daughter's sunroom, and we had it in our beach house growing up. I have wonderful memories of that grass matting. And, yes, Cost Plus is the place to get it!
