Intimidated by the likes of David Jimenez, I had never seriously considered designing a table for Dining by Design.
But a fellow board member mentioned that they could use a few extra table designers this year – it’s the huge celebration of the 20th anniversary of the event – and I reconsidered.

I’d love it if you would come by to see how things turned out. Table Hop is Friday, April 30th and the Preview is Saturday day (just $10!) Details and tickets are available here.

Oh how I wish I lived a little closer…I'd love to attend the viewing. I'm sure it will be fabulous.
I have Flair! Best wishes on a wonderful event!
Sounds like so much fun. Can't wait to see it. Hope you are well.
I am sure it will be look great. Can't wait for your posting so I can have a glimpse from behind my Mac in Amsterdam!
The first time I saw Joe's table, I thought of Mrs. Blandings. Can't wait to see what you do.
Well, I love the pink, so if you go that direction, I'm sure it will be beautiful. You're creativity will really shine! Wish I was close enought to attend. Thanks for sharing the book as well…on my way to check it out.
Hope it all turns out well, and you raise alot of money!
I can only imagine your table complete with some sort of needlepointed place cards, a small lego creation and then some simply elegant centerpiece that you found. Love to see it, hope you will show us!

Your table will be FAB! I can't wiat to see it. Let me know if you need any plates…I know where you could get a few;)
You lucky dog, you. I'd give anything to be asked to do one of those tables.
Ooh, now I really can't wait!
What an honor to be invited. Congratulations. I know that when your creativity gets going, things just start popping. Good luck.
"Asked" and "invited" are a bit of a stretch. I was stuffing invitations when someone mentioned they could use some designers and I said, "Um. I could probably do that," and the someone said, "Great."
Expectations, I imagine, are relatively low. BUT there will be fabulous tables galore.
Patricia – I hadn't thought about legos, but might need to work them in.
What a surprise to visit your blog. Everything is simply beautiful.
Very exciting….good luck!!!
Congrats Mrs. Blandings! How fab. I cannot wait to see photos of what you do. Its going to be amazing I'm sure.
i absolutely love this dining tablescape. wow.
It was fabulous to talk with you during westweek! I can't wait to see the table you design 🙂 good luck!
What fun! I know that yours will be both beautiful and unique. You're very creative and have a good eye. Don't forget that you could do something with the jigsaw.
Go get 'em Mrs. B.! I know the reaction will be one of "Wonderful! Now why didn't I think of that?!"
Would you like any help? 🙂 I'm a interior designer
wanna-be, and have done a table in the past…
i'm new to your blog, and just thought it would be
so fun to meet you! i'm game to do anything!
