We saw Anna Karenina last night and while I did not want her to throw herself under a train in general, I knew that she would and I found myself wishing she might do it a little sooner. Keira Knightly’s jewelry by Chanel, did keep me interested throughout and I was clicking around trying to find those remarkable diamond and pearl earrings today. No luck. But, as sometimes happens, I stumbled across something equally delicious. Chanel’s site features a video of the design and fabrication of the most remarkable necklace. Four and half minutes – well worth every second. Here.

Beautiful….
the costumes and jewelry were stunning! I saw it Thanksgiving day and was in love.
Just finished the film. Just beautiful. The detail, the focus of the artisans, and oh. . . the materials to work with. Just beautiful.
I want one!

Chanel–always perfect. I loved being inside the atelier. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas.

I saw the movie Thursday night and think I felt the same. I was in awe of the jewelry and I don't necessarily think that was what the director was going for.
Exquisite! I never realized how much work and precision is involved in making fine jewelry.
you no likey movie?
Lavender – more no than yes. I would have enjoyed watching it at home, perhaps.
OMG, AK was a sumptuous treat for the eyes, but I can tell you that I was not alone in hysterical laughter after the movie ended. What was that we just witnessed? Me thinks it was a long Chanel commercial, which is fine with me. Chanel is divine but the movie was a bit too avant guarde for me.
I felt the same about the movie! But I ADORED her jewelry, most especially her rings.
